June 2025 Newsletter
Hello PSHA Family. The race has really started. There are 7 weekends left to complete your averages and qualify for State Finals Aug. 8-10 in Wenatchee. Yep … just 7 more weeks.
It’s likely been a busy few weeks starting to hit different shows. But is it ever worth it to see our friends, hang out in the arena and see some fast times.
It’s incredible how fast and good so many of our riders are. I have heard and seen a lot of fast times already this year. Some clean … some were “just outside the navigational beacons. And some were even palindromes! Nevertheless, it’s so great to see our organization buzzing!
What else is there to share? Quite a bit really.
Memberships / Online payment: I am really excited to share that you can now sign up and pay for memberships online with a credit card. Yep … you read correctly. We have online membership sign-ups that you can pay with a credit card. We posted it on the Facebook page before last weekend’s shows and have had about a dozen people use it.
This is a big step forward. It’s allowing our team to process memberships faster and collaborate better.
Our hope is that this is a step towards handling more things on-line in the near future – stalls and camping? 😊
Spread the word and get your friends signed up. Or be ready to use it next year!

Judges and Timers: I know that we’ve mentioned that we are struggling state wide with judges and timers. We can’t encourage you enough. If you’re new, get involved and ask how you can become a timer and eventually a judge. If you’ve been a member for a long time, what’s stopping you from getting more involved in running shows. If we don’t have these officials, we will struggle to put on shows. If you aren’t sure how or what to do, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or the rules committee for more information!
Junior Royalty: Our Junior Royalty program is up and running. We have three members! We’re really excited that Sophie Rutgers, from Lynden, Emma Chapman, from Sequim and Isis Davenport, from Wenatchee, are on board and starting to work toward raising money for State Finals. Currently, they have all raised $500 towards State Finals! If you have them at your show, be sure to acknowledge them and encourage them to talk on the microphone and introduce themselves! Good job girls!
State Finals: Big thanks to Melonie and her team for working hard on State Finals. All the buckles and saddles are ordered, the finishing touches are being put on other awards, and this year’s T-Shirts are designed and in process! Thanks to all of you that sponsored buckles and saddles. Also, a big thank you to Quelinda Benjamin for stepping up to help with welcome bags and helping to create the sponsor highlights.
Interstate: Hopefully these Junior Royalty members continue on and become Interstate Princesses like Maddy Olson and Kaydn Collins. Both of our princesses have been making the rounds to raise money and support for Interstate. And they’ve been putting down some of those fast times I was talking about earlier!
As always be sure to offer them your support. Get them to talk and answer impromptu questions.
They are doing a great job for Interstate and represent PSHA well!
Convention: We’re starting to work on Convention plans, including a couple options and weekends. As of now, it looks like we may be on the weekend of November 8 this year. There are still several things to work out but be sure to tentatively put convention on the calendar. If you’re interested in helping plan and coordinate the event, please reach out to me!
